DIY Life Hacks

My first life hack experience… When Kat and I were growing up, we’d go to the daycare at my mom’s hospital during the summer. It turns out our problems started early because we seemed to always be in trouble for making my mom late to work. Oops! We must have complained a lot about the oatmeal they served us for breakfast because mom started bribing us. She promised to buy us breakfast if we promised to get ready faster. (Side note, I have no idea what the heck took us so long. I think I was 8!) Kat and I had the genius idea of picking out our outfits the night before, and SLEEPING in them. We slept in our clothes all summer long and I’m not proud of it. I think most of us are willing to try just about anything to make our lives easier. When I came across these DIY life hacks, I knew I had to try them out for myself and share them with you!

1 | Use a spaghetti noodle to light candles that have burned down really low. (No more burned fingers!)

2 | Use clothespins to hold a nail when hanging pictures. (Keep your fingers in the safe zone!)

3 | Paint your keys with nail polish to help remember what each key is for.

4 | Use empty Chapstick tubes to store money in at the pool or beach. (Nobody steals Chapstick unless it’s Dr. Pepper flavored!)

5 | Use  small magnets in your bathroom drawers to keep bobby pins organized.

Easy-peasy right?! Do y’all having any easy hacks you’ve discovered that make life just a little bit easier? Share them with us! Have a great weekend and we’ll see you Monday!
